Big Horny Hustler - 7"

Here we have the record most requested by visitors to this blog... the Big Horny Hustler 7".   Big Horny Hustler were a great spastic band from Austin in the mid-90's that featured future members of Paul Newman, Drums & Tuba, Brown Whorenet, Cat Scientist and Society Of Friends.

Here is what the Austin Music Database says about them: "Way before math rock was cool, Austin fivepiece Big Horny Hustler blasted spastic riffs and tightly wound beats that revolved around the drumming of Tony Nozero, Geordie Thompson's Gibson SG and Angus licks, and the basslines of Julian Peterson. Up to 11 and wild as hell, BHH began in 1992, but when Buzz Moran joined on second guitar and August Alston began to vocalize, the shit hit the fan. With only a single 45 to its name, Big Horny Hustler drew out the experience live. "I don't know how long we were together, how many shows there were, how many guitar amps Geordie fried or freaking hi-hat stands and bass pedals I went through," says Nozero today. The band drifted apart in the mid- to late 1990s. Thompson went off to Portland, Ore., where he remains today. Nozero merged into fellow prog-lovers Paul Newman and hit the jam-band circuit with Drums & Tuba. Peterson weirded out further with Brown Whörnet and Cat Scientist, Alston formed Society of Friends before joining Thompson in Portland, and Moran joined the Austin noise contingent and began perfecting Foley sound."

This copy of the record doesn't include song titles, so the files only include a single mp3 per side.
